The Bund at night, Shanghai

The Bund at night, Shanghai

The Bund is the name for the old part of down town Shanghai that runs along the north west side of the Huangpu River. It was in the Bund that the foreign powers had their commercial bases. The area today is still full of banks and hotels. The old colonial style buildings give a unique atmosphere to the area. At night, many of the buildings on the Bund are illuminated by lights. This shot was taken from the Pudong side of the river.
