Shanghai People's Square

Shanghai People

Shanghai grew up in and around the concession areas awarded to foreign powers for the purpose of trading with China. Each foreign country had it's own strip of land. This area is what is known as the Bund. Set a little way back form the Bund's riverfront, the modern center of Shanghai is a mass of tower blocks and busy streets. A happy and vibrant multicultural city.
